The Spooks to Spirits project was created by Tracey Ward in 2010. It explores the history, documented and paranormal, of the Willamette Valley area. Based upon both historical records and eyewitness interviews, Spooks to Spirits tells stories that some may be familiar with...and tales that have never before seen the light of day. The CD contains all the stories in the book so you can listen on the go. The map directs you to a plethora of businesses to cater to your every need. Spooks to Spirits also produces half-hour television shows for each volume of the series, which are free to view on YouTube. All in all, this guide helps you put together your own unique experience, providing the clues you need to conduct your own paranormal investigations as you explore the fascinating history of this area - while pointing out fantastic dining, lodging, and other services along the way!

Tracey moved to McMinnville, Oregon in the early 1980s. Her first home in the area had its own unseen guest, and she grew up in a haunted house as well. Now she is sharing her lifetime fascination with the supernatural and her zeal for history with her readers. She has been helped along the way by the Boo Crew, including her husband, their two children, and many other friends and family members.

Six volumes of Spooks to Spirits have been planned for Yamhill County. The first volume covers Lafayette and McMinnville. The next two volumes are scheduled to be released later in 2011, and the final three will come out in 2012. After this, Tracey plans to move on to other parts of Oregon, including Portland and Salem. There is no limit to the growth of this project, as Tracey plans to expand the Spooks to Spirits series around the country, and even around the world.
